I attempted to withdraw 3,000,000 VND from an STM ATM. The machine did not dispense any cash, but the amount was deducted from my account without my knowledge. Believing the transaction had not gone through, I attempted the withdrawal again, and the same thing happened. As a result, a total of 6,000,000 VND was deducted from my account without receiving any cash. I immediately called the help ATMline, and the operator advised me to visit the branch the following day. They confirmed that a record of the transaction had been made. The next day, I went to the bank and completed the required paperwork to request a refund. I was also informed that I needed to contact my own bank so they could follow up directly regarding the ATM malfunction. It has now been three weeks, and I have not received any update or reimbursement. The matter remains unresolved. I tried to withdraw 3,000,000 VND from STM's ATM. The machine did not pay cash but the money was still deducted from my account without my knowledge. Thinking the transaction hadn't been processed, I tried withdrawing money a second time, and the same thing happened again. As a result, a total of 6,000,000 VND was deducted from my account, but I didn't receive any cash. I immediately called the ATM hotline, and the operator directed me to the bank branch the next day. They confirmed that the transaction had been recorded. The following day, I went to the bank and completed the necessary paperwork to request a refund. I was also informed that I needed to contact my bank so they could work directly with them regarding the ATM malfunction. Three weeks have passed, and I still haven't received any response or refund. This issue remains unresolved.

DO NOT USE THIS BANK AND ATM!! On a Saturday morning trying to get money and the bank ATM it took my CC card without warning within 20sec! It states to call a Hotline number but doesn’t help you till Monday morning. Costed me my booked transport and hotel for me and had to wait till Monday morning. Explaining to them all my experiences, being in a foreign country without your credit card, they did not care the slightest!! I see on the internet and YouTube that more people have same issues with their credit cards being taken for absolutely no reason.

Super disrespectful to clients and tourist. We asked to take a ticket and line up for money exchange in USD to VND and we did. Before waiting we already double confirmed with the bank staff that it is possible for money exchange here. We wait like 20 minutes to the counter. The staff show arrogant and impolite attitude to us and not willing to help. She refuse to change money for us and claimed she will not do it without any reasonable reason. She just say they will not do money exchange. We are so confused since the hotel told us to come to bank for money exchange but end up like this. It is totally waste of time. I’m wondering if there any policy implemented that I cannot do the money exchange but then I can directly change my money in other bank. Just terrible experience ever in Vietnam. I don’t think we should be treat like that even money exchange cannot be done.

I honestly felt disrespected by the way the rather elderly security guard in front of the branch handled things. To be frank, I felt contempt for his behavior! You're here to work for a salary, not to be treated like a king, so why the arrogant attitude towards customers? If he couldn't hear or wasn't able to respond, why would the bank put him in front of the storefront, representing such a large organization? When I asked him, he calmly focused on his phone, not bothering to answer with a single "yes" or "no"—treating me like I was invisible, completely ignoring me! Luckily, another guy stepped in to defuse the situation, otherwise, who knows what would have happened. I was truly furious! Although I'm younger than him, I never asked him to bow or anything like that; all I needed was a minimal answer to my question. Hopefully, after responding to my review, Sacombank will genuinely improve the work practices of its front-end department. If they continue to just reply perfunctorily, copying and pasting pre-made templates, it will all be meaningless.
